Thank You Angels! On behalf of the Byrne Family would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation for your support and generosity. This has been the most difficult year for us. The loss of Seamus is unbearable a times. Worry about the welfare of his family has also been unbearable for us. With the help of Angels Without Faces you have made it possible for us to have great hope that they will be alright. Words do not seem to be enough. Of all the attitudes we acquire in life. I feel the attitude of gratitude in a time like this is most important. The best things in life are not things; the best things in life are people like you. We will never forget your kindness and generosity
Thank you for everything you have done for his family.
Thank You Angels....
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As you all know our home was destroyed by fire just before the holidays. Our hearts are broken and most things lost, but our family is together and our faith is strong. Believe it or not this was the best Christmas we ever had. The Kings Park Fire department went into a burning attic and pulled out all our gifts (wrappings and boxes burnt but all contents survived!) We were able to give gifts we had purchased to our family members. This is not what made our Christmas extraordinary…. we have a renewed faith in all people that now surround us with prayers and overwhelming thoughtfulness. All you see in the news are sad stories of loss and despair, what is not seen is the love and care of others. I personally never knew that so many people really cared! There are so many people we need to thank! Kings Park Fire Department, Angels Without Faces, drop off sites of Tricia Johnston, Professors Diner (Kevin), the Amado’s, Gonatas and Carlin family, Boy Scout Troop 75, models and former Jets all stars, Bobbie Jackson and our own Kings Park former Jets player Wesley Walker, Encore Dance Studio & Kings Park School districts assurance that my children will be supported. All the Kings Park teachers that reached out to our family, Winn Drug Store for refilling our prescriptions immediately after the fire at no cost to us! The unknown neighbors invite for Christmas dinner and a place to stay. If I had the room I would list every name of every person that has supported us in gift and prayer. The response of the community left us with nothing needed.
The care and thoughtfulness of every package of clothing and
personal items was not left unnoticed. I have kept every scrap of
paper with your names and cards with warming words of encouragement.
We will have them always to remind us of how wonderful
our community is and how lucky we are to have all of you in our
lives. Thank you all for your support. You are forever in our hearts and Prayers,
Charleen, Bill, Jessica, Billy and Justin McCarrick

Helping Hands
Dear Members of Angels Without Faces, Thank you for your very generous donation to Helping Hands. We are a non profit organization that works with children who have autism and developmental disabilities. We offer a full day socialization program on Saturdays and holidays. In addition we operate a “Children’s Adventure Club” during the summer. Unfortunately, due to the many changes in government funding and the economic downturn we are hard pressed to maintain the program without cutting back on some of our services and activities. Your generous gift will help us maintain our program which strives to give developmentally challenged children the same opportunities a typical child might have. Your generosity enables us to take our children to the circus, for a horseback riding experience, to the zoo, to a restaurant, to the Long Island Children’s Museum and dozens of other trips that typical children might take for granted but would not be possible for many of ours. Some of your funds will help us maintain our art therapy program, our cooking program and our gym. Life with an autistic child can be very demanding. Our program allows parents to have some free time to concentrate on their family needs while their child is in a safe, friendly and learning environment. But most importantly your gift buys a lot of smiles. All one needs to do is to look at the faces and smiles of our children and you realize that your generosity has been bestowed on a good cause. On behalf of our children, their parents and our dedicated staff, thank you again and know that your gift will be turned into many more smiles.
Sincerely,
Steve Goldstein Oct 2010
