Thank You Angels!

On behalf of the Byrne Family would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation for your support and generosity.  This has been the most difficult year for us.  The loss of Seamus is unbearable a times.  Worry about the welfare of his family has also been unbearable for us.

With the help of Angels Without Faces you have made it possible for us to have great hope that they will be alright.   Words do not seem to be enough.  Of all the attitudes we acquire in life.  I feel the attitude of gratitude in a time like this is most important.  The best things in life are not things; the best things in life are people like you.   We will never forget your kindness and generosity

Thank you for everything you have done for his family.

Love to all of you, Oliver, Rose Marie, John, Danny and Joe Byrne

Thank You Angels....

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We cannot begin to express our heartfelt thanks for all the tremendous donations and prayers for our family.

As you all know our home was destroyed by fire just before the holidays.   Our hearts are broken and most things lost, but our family is together and our faith is strong.  Believe it or not this was the best Christmas we ever had.  The Kings Park Fire department went into a burning attic and pulled out all our gifts (wrappings and boxes burnt but all contents survived!)  We were able to give gifts we had purchased to our family members.  This is not what made our Christmas extraordinary…. we have a renewed faith in all people that now surround us with prayers and overwhelming thoughtfulness.

All you see in the news are sad stories of loss and despair, what is not seen is the love and care of others.  I personally never knew that so many people really cared!

There are so many people we need to thank!  Kings Park Fire Department, Angels Without Faces, drop off sites of Tricia Johnston, Professors Diner (Kevin), the Amado’s, Gonatas and Carlin family, Boy Scout Troop 75, models and former Jets all stars, Bobbie Jackson and our own Kings Park former Jets player Wesley Walker, Encore Dance Studio & Kings Park School districts assurance that my children will be supported. All the Kings Park teachers that reached out to our family, Winn Drug Store for refilling our prescriptions immediately after the fire at no cost to us!  The unknown neighbors invite for Christmas dinner and a place to stay.

If I had the room I would list every name of every person that has supported us in gift and prayer. The response of the community left us with nothing needed.

The care and thoughtfulness of every package of clothing and personal items was not left unnoticed.  I have kept every scrap of paper with your names and cards with warming words of encouragement.  We will have them always to remind us of how wonderful our community is and how lucky we are to have all of you in our lives.
Kings Park is our home where there are no strangers only friends you haven’t met yet.

Thank you all for your support. You are forever in our hearts and Prayers,

Charleen, Bill, Jessica, Billy and Justin McCarrick
Our pups, Ginger and Trulie too!

Dear Angels,

We all wanted to thank you for your very generous donation to Dr. Reidlinger's family and all the help you gave us during our planning stages for the fund raiser.

Unfortunately, Dr. Reidlinger lost his battle with Lymphoma on Sunday, November 28, 2010. We are devastated to have lost such a wonderful, fun loving, inspirational, caring man. He was truly loved by all who met him; family, friends and especially his patients.

His patients say how they never minded "coming to the dentist"  because they felt so
comfortable with him. He had such compassion for everyone and enjoyed administering to all his patients. He loved being a dentist!!

Dr. Reidlinger will be missed by all.

Wishing you peace this Holiday Season. Merry Christmas and a Happy,
Healthy New Year.

Sincerely,

Dr. Chase, Maureen, Kim, Nicole, Kimmy, Jodie and Peggy

Dear Members of Angels Without Faces,

Thank you for your very generous donation to Helping Hands.  We are a non profit organization that works with children who have autism and developmental disabilities.  We offer a full day socialization program on Saturdays and holidays.  In addition we operate a “Children’s Adventure Club” during the summer.

Unfortunately, due to the many changes in government funding and the economic downturn we are hard pressed to maintain the program without cutting back on some of our services and activities.  Your generous gift will help us maintain our program which strives to give developmentally challenged children the same opportunities a typical child might have.

Your generosity enables us to take our children to the circus, for a horseback riding experience, to the zoo, to a restaurant, to the Long Island Children’s Museum and dozens of other trips that typical children might take for granted but would not be possible for many of ours.

Some of your funds will help us maintain our art therapy program, our cooking program and our gym.

Life with an autistic child can be very demanding.  Our program allows parents to have some free time to concentrate on their family needs while their child is in a safe, friendly and learning environment.

But most importantly your gift buys a lot of smiles.  All one needs to do is to look at the faces and smiles of our children and you realize that your generosity has been bestowed on a good cause.

On behalf of our children, their parents and our dedicated staff, thank you again and know that your gift will be turned into many more smiles.

     Sincerely,

     Steve Goldstein

To Everyone Who Contributed:

I wanted to say a very special thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We were introduced through friends in blue that we have in common a long time ago.  Then I had the pleasure of meeting your family through work at the barbershop and watching the kids get bigger every time you visited.  I always admired the way you were with your family and the smile you always kept on your face.

When you reached out to me and told me you wanted to make me a part of your fundraising efforts, I didn’t even know what to say.  The last 9 months of my life have probably been the hardest but I try not to complain.  I went through a lot, but I have been totally blessed in my life and I’ll never forget it.  After all, I’m alive, and I’ll make a full recovery over time.  My friend wasn’t so lucky, but I guess they just needed more Angels in heaven that day and God called her up to the varsity team.

The update from my lawyer yesterday was that the person who is responsible for my situation is due back in court soon and I hope someday he accepts responsibility and expresses remorse for his actions.

The check I received from Angels without Faces helped me out tremendously and I’ll never forget your kindness and generosity.  It helped make things much easier and took away a lot of the burden that came along with losing my job while I was rehabilitating.  I’m now back to steady biking and running again and feel really good.

I’ll always keep your family in my prayers.  Also please email me with any fundraisers you have in the future and count me in for my support.

Thank you for everything!

To Everyone Who Contributed:

My family and I can't thank you enough for the generosity you've shown to help us out in this particularly tough year. It was a very unexpected surprise and truly touched our hearts to know that there were people out there who cared especially since my younger son is afflicted with autism (and I can't tell you what a rough road this has been coupled with loosing my job a few months ago). I was wondering how we were going to pay our property taxes due at the end of this month and we were handed this envelope by our neighbors, which will surely make a dent in paying that bill. You are angels, don't ever forget that, we certainly won't.

Thank you isn't enough for what you've done for us and we hope you are all enjoying a Happy Holiday Season and we wish you a Happy Healthy New Year to you and your families and please know that you have made our holidays a bit brighter!
